RULEBOOK / VERSION 1.3

Explore. Defend.
Build your kingdom.

The illustrated rulebook includes 12 graphic examples covering setup, scoring, turn order, exploration, building, movement, trade, combat, recruitment, and recovery. Optional Settlement Warfare in Appendix A lets you recruit up to two stationary garrisons per settlement, keep six mobile soldiers, and raze enemy settlements to remove their income and one victory point. Agree before setup whether to use the amendment.

Print the five terrain sprues twice each. Print the four-player-start sprue and single Heartland sprue once each. Keep the same filament color on every back so hidden terrain stays hidden; paint faces if desired. Clip tabs at the flat sides and trim flush for the board frame.

04 / PRINTABLE BATTLE & TRADE

Print two pages.
Play an encounter.

05 / THICKER INTERLOCKING MAP FRAME

Drop together.
Hold the outline.

The complete hex-shaped frame for all 81 map tiles, upgraded to 14 mm wide × 6 mm high rails. Every section now has a flared dovetail end and a matching socket. Lower the joints together from above to hold the sections against pulling apart sideways.

Print the small joint test first. The package includes two short sample pieces using the full frame’s 0.25 mm socket clearance. Check their fit before printing all three plates once each, at 100% scale in millimeters.

The inner opening still fits your existing 50 mm tiles; no replacement tiles are needed. The last frame section drops into both neighbors to close the loop. The joints are removable upward, and the frame rests on a table or mat without a floor.

This set replaces the old thin frame; do not mix the old sections with these interlocking parts. Closed-mesh and mating-geometry checks passed. Physical joint fit and strength have not been tested.

06 / COMBINED RESOURCE DISPENSER

Four resources.
Ancient rune pillars.

A combined tabletop dispenser designed for the current 18 × 3.2 mm resource tokens after clipping them from their sprues. Four ancient-style pillars joined by short stone bridges at the upper and lower collars with engraved rune panels and stepped stone collars hold 40 tokens each, with separate WOOD, FOOD, STONE and IRON pull-out trays and one removable scalloped capstone lid with beveled edges and engraved wood, food, stone and iron icons.

Download the one-plate dispenser prototype ZIP · All 11 parts on one plate + separate feed test ↓

Print the single-bay feed test first ↓ It uses the same feed opening, tray and retaining pin. Test the motion with five tokens before committing to the tall four-tube hopper.

Load tokens flat, with every icon facing up. Pull a tray fully forward to retrieve the exposed token, then close it to refill. Printed retaining pins keep the trays from pulling out completely. Allow about 154 mm front-to-back space with trays extended.

The package includes an exploded assembly view and instructions. Print combined_dispenser_one_plate.stl once, at 100% scale in millimeters. All 11 parts fit in 237 × 222.2 mm on the A1 bed, with 5 mm spacing. Preserve the supplied orientations and use print by layer. No springs, screws or magnets are needed.

This is an unprinted prototype. Closed-mesh and CAD interference checks passed, but gravity feed, friction and one-token dispensing have not been physically tested. Confirm the small test mechanism on your printer first.

PRINT & PLAY

A few practical details.

  1. Unzip your download. In Bambu Studio, choose the A1 profile and import one STL per plate.
  2. Keep 100% scale and millimeters. Start with PLA, a 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, three walls, and 15–20% infill.
  3. Check that the thin tabs appear continuously in the slicer preview. Clip tabs with flush cutters after printing and trim the nubs.

These downloads include the playing pieces, all 81 map tiles, and the battle / trade board. The complete map perimeter frame is also available above. Each sprue passed closed-mesh and connectivity checks; physical printing and breakaway strength have not yet been tested. The printed die’s balance is untested.
